Meet Peter Shapiro
Peter Shapiro is a lifelong public servant and community leader with more than three decades of experience advancing equitable growth in Prince George’s County. He served as Chair of the Prince George’s County Planning Board of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, where he brought a proven record of vision-driven leadership.
Prior to this role, Peter served as Executive Director of the Prince George’s County Revenue Authority, where he spearheaded the revitalization of the Suitland Federal Center area, championed minority business participation, and helped deliver transformative projects such as the Creative Suitland Arts Center and new mixed-use developments.
